Step by step to making a Magic memory stick

Download the files from these sites:

the Pandora Installer 3.xx rev and Desparter del Cementerio V4 from this site: http://pandorabatteryshop.com/links.aspx

Official 3.40 Firmware Eboot and Official 3.90 Firmware Eboot:
http://megaupload.com/?f=E8UG2MAX-

Official 1.50 Firmware Eboot from here: http://dl.qj.net/psp/firmwares/psp-firmware-150-file-eboot-north-america.html

Turn off your psp and connect it to the AC adapter

Take out your memory stick and battery from your and put in the memory card that you want to make into a magic memory stick  (don't put the battery back in yet)

Now turn on the psp holding the R trigger down and switch it on to go to the recovery menu
Scroll down to the configuration and open it

In there, the third option(or any option) look for Game folder homebrew-make sure it says it say anything
above kernel 2.7, if it below 2.7- press the "x" button and change the kernel level to any value above 2.7.

Once that is done go back and exit-Now your psp should restart automatically.

Once the psp restarts scroll to the home screen scroll to the left and then go to system settings and select format system settings so that you can make proper folders that you will need later.

Once the memory stick is formatted connect your psp with pc/laptop.

When you see the memory stick folder in your pc, name this folder as something pandora for convinience.

Also make a folder named anything you like in your desktop and place all the files that you downladed from the above links in this folder.

Now unzip/unrar all the downloaded using winrar/winzip-unrar the files in following sequence:

1. Desparter del Cementerio V4

2. Pandora Installer 3.xx rev

3. 1.50 Firmware Eboot(make sure that it has pbp extension)-rename it as 150.PBP

Make a copy of the 150.PBP file and rename it as UPDATE.PBP

4-3.40 Firmware Eboot-Rename it as 340.PBP

5-3.90 Firmware Eboot-Rename it as 390.PBP
Lets begin the real work now, we will copy files that we just extracted into your psp's memory card folder
Open your psp on your computer, go to the games folder inside the psp folder and copy the pan 3xx folder( present inside the Pandora Installer 3.xx folder) inside this folder.

Now copy the UPADTE.PBP file in your memory cards root folder.

Now exit your psp from the usb mode without disconnecting the AC adapter.

Now go over to game and go to the memory stick and run the pandora installer program

Now don't be over whelmed by the screen that you see, just press L trigger then R trigger and then "x" button at the same time.(this is to reformat the psp for pandora installation)

Now press x to switch off the psp

Wait a few seconds and then turn on the psp normally(using the on switch)

Once the psp turns on connect your psp to your pc/computer.

Now you will see that the root folder of you psp's memory stick is empty and is naamed as pandora since we just formatted it.

Now create new folder in the root folder and name it as PSP and inside thiss folder create a new folder called GAME

Copy the Desparter del Cementerio folder into the GAME folder that you just created.

Now copy these four files in to your memory sticks(pandora) root folder- 150.PBP,340.PBP,390.PBP AND UPDTAE.PBP
Now go back to your psp and then game and in their to the memory stick

Run the Desparter del Cementerio Program from you memory stick

Now you will be asked to press x to begin the installation.

Have patince as it will take sometime for installation and once the installation is complete psp will turn off automatically in about 7 seconds and then restart.

congrats you just made your magic memory stick.

Make a pandora battery for psp fat

Like all noobs we are scared to open the battery, we might break it, we might get shocked. Quote: afterdawn fourms, aaron516

First thing is first.

What to use:

A small but STRONG metal object to remove the pin.

A sharp object to open the battery case

Some light.

Ok so when you take the battery out there are some creases along the sides of the battery. You want to apply allot of pressure to one side until there is a little whole. Take a knife, don’t be scared and stick it in the whole and drag it until the case starts separating it. Make sure not to stick the knife to far it because you might damage the battery.

*NOTE doesn’t apply the pressure tequnike to the side with the little bulge, becuase you might mess up the connection to the psp*

One you get it open it will look like this:

Slim PSP Batteries

PSP FAT BATTERIES

Just follow those pictures and you should have it done!

During the process of removing the pin some smoke might come up it’s all right its just electricity that has nowhere to go. Just don’t touch the bottom to little metal circles. Also DO NOT TOUCH ANY OTHER PINS WHILE DOING THIS it could ruin your battery.

Finally after you does it close it back up and put it in your psp.

If it turns on and the screen is black it’s normal. Once you put the memory stick in with the installer information stuff will show up.

If the psp says Pandora/ battery must be at 50% then charge it.

After the orange light goes away try it again no matter how fast the orange light takes to go away. If you still have the same problem you may have to let it train. This can be done by simply by plugging the ac adaptor in then turning it on then taking the ac adaptor out and leaving it on till it shuts off.

I AM NOT RESSPONSIBLE FOR BROKEN BATTERIES IT YOUR CHOICE AND USE THIS AT YOUR OWN RISK.

YOU NEED TO GET ANOTHER BATTERY AFTER HARDMODDING BECAUSE IT WILL NOT WORK NORMALLY ANYMORE.
*NOTE IF YOU RESOLDER (WHICH I HIGHLY DONT RECOMMEND) YOU CAN USE IT NORMALY*

Overveiw of how to downgrade

Now the first thing you need to do, (FIRST THING!!!! if you dont do this, none of the following hacks will work!!!) is downgade your psp.
the easest way to downgrade your psp is with a pandora battery and a magic memory stick, the simplest way that requires the least opening of your psp is to buy one from this site: http://www.pandorasales.com/pandora-battery.html
the second way, and harder way, is to open up your battery and cut a certain wire to create a pandora battery, then use some magic (a computer program) to make a magic memory stick.
if you are a noob and have never tried moding your psp before then i sugest you buy a battery, if you have a freind who is an experianced modder then call him up and save your self 30$-88$ (aprox)
*I will be posting a step by step on how to make a magic memorystick and a pandora battery soon for all those brave people with a spare battery.*

**Note: I tried to open my psp-1002 battery and puntured it, i strongly recomend not doing this =P as there is a high chance you will stuff your battery.**

***I am not responsible for damage or malfunction in any way to your psp caused by/as a result of these mods/hacks***
